In this intimate portrait documentary Michael Volle tells in his own words about his career and profession. Filmed in autumn 2020, as Michael Volle prepares for his first appearance in an opera since the shut downs due to the Coronavirus.

The internationally acclaimed opera singer talks back stage about singing and acting on the opera stage and his favourite composer Richard Wagner.

Michael Volle is at home on the most famous stages in the world - in Zurich, Berlin, New York, Milan, London and Vienna. This season 2022-2023 he sings Wotan in the new The Ring - production at the Berlin State Opera "Unter den Linden" and Hans Sachs in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Vienna State Opera.

The film was made in Zurich, shortly after the first long corona lockdown during a guest performance by the singer at the Zurich Opera.
